The menu on the left side shows four main categories of NON-Navajo weavings that are featured in addition to the 300+ authentic antique and modern Navajo blankets and rugs featured on this site.

Pueblo Weavings page features  antique and modern weavings of Hopi, Zuni and other pueblos of Arizona and New Mexico. Most are wool yarn weavings although some Hopi cotton garments(dance kilts etc.) may also be included.

Mexican Weavings features TWO pages: one devoted to pre-1950 antique Mexican weavings including 19th century Saltillo serapes, early Puebla and Texcoco weavings and other early regional textiles of Mexico.  The SECOND page of photos features inexpensive contemporary hand-woven wool yarn Zapotec /Oaxaca rugs that are an inexpensive alternative to Navajo rugs.

Rio Grande-Chimayo  features those weavings made in New Mexico on the Spanish loom. Thin 4'x6' blankets ideal for wall display or use over chairs and sofas predominate in this category which can feature both antique and modern examples.

Southwest Design Rugs features all-wool, all-hand-woven copies of famous Navajo rug styles and patterns at one-fifth the price of our authentic Navajo rugs and blankets.  Ideal for decorators, home and office design on a budget as well as corporate use (hotels, office complexes, restaurants etc. --please contact us for volume pricing.)
